Shopping Assistance (Japan) is a personal, human‑to‑human service, created to help individual collectors who are passionate about Japanese culture and media. The goal is simple: to build a relationship of trust, take the time to talk, exchange ideas, and search together for the right items — not to rush, not to mass‑sell. Every request starts with contact and discussion. We talk about what you’re looking for, why you’re looking for it, your budget, your expectations, and the condition you’re aiming for. Very often, we also end up talking about our shared passion.

What I help you find

The service mainly focuses on:

  • Used (or new) Japanese video games
  • LaserDiscs

Depending on your interests, it can also extend to:

  • Anime‑related items
  • Other collectible markets, discussed case by case

Nothing is automated or standardized — every search is custom and discussed in detail before moving forward.

A service based on time and trust

I offer this service during my free time, alongside a full‑time job. Because of this:

  • Searches can take time
  • There are often many email exchanges
  • Patience is essential 🙂

This is a slow, careful process, focused on quality, condition, and fair pricing rather than speed.

Why I do this

I am a long-time collector myself, and searching for rare items — or great deals in the best possible condition — is a true passion for me. I have been living in Japan for 17 years, and over time I have learned:

  • Trusted second-hand shops
  • Specialized Japanese websites and marketplaces

I have also already provided this kind of assistance several times for members of the Legendra forum, a community specialized in RPGs, which allowed me to gain real, hands-on experience with collectors abroad and their expectations. My goal is to make this unique Japanese shopping experience accessible to collectors abroad, while keeping it personal, honest, and transparent.

Pricing is simple and transparent:

  • Item price
  • EMS shipping fees
  • Service fee: 20% of the total (item + shipping, PayPal fees included)

  • Shipping: EMS only
  • No items containing batteries can be shipped
  • I take no responsibility for loss or damage during shipping
  • EMS offers insurance options
  • All items are photographed in detail, and the condition is fully discussed and agreed upon before purchase
